Gale sits by the campfire. “Good evening!” he calls to Piper, who walks by. “Before you turn in, would you care for some grilled peach?”
“Is that, like, a euphemism, or…” the half-elf asks, raising an eyebrow. Gale brandishes a peach from within his bag.

Somewhat befuddled, Piper mumbles a “wha- what? why”
“You’re not familiar?”
Piper sits next to him. “I mean…I eat them, peaches.”
“A new type of indulgence, then? Heat enhances the fruit’s qualities. The flesh becomes sweeter, more tender.”

“Served right off the flame…” he cuts the peach in half
“…with a touch of honey…” he drizzles honey from a jar
“and…well, see for yourself” he hands over a glistening slice of peach that now has distinct grill marks
Piper takes a bite and her face lights up - it’s DELICIOUS

Gale smiles. “Quite good, right?”
“What if you had like, yogurt, or-“
“Clotted cream?”
“Yeah!”
“Sadly inaccessible given our current circumstances.” On the side, Piper wonders if granola would be a good addition, or something crunchy. “Our situation may not be ideal. We lack the comforts and small luxuries we’re accustomed to. It’s
important to see what we do have - a clear path forward, safety in numbers, I-“
“And!” Piper cuts him off, pointing with her fork. “We’re not stuck in a rock. …anymore.”
“Yes, of course.”
