A bit of this week's #sketchbook nonsense...
#TalksyArt #AcrylicArt #Painting

Acrylic painting in A4 sketchbook. A grotesque human head in profile sits atop a tubular structure (a spine? a handle? whatever you think it might be!) Nose is large & red, red lips, blue around the right eye, small ear. Hair is red & black. 'Tube' is white with red, black & blue lines running down it's length. Background is varying shades of lilac. 'One day. Two birds. One eye.'
#TalksyArt #Painting #AbstractArt

Abstract painting in red & yellow acrylics on A4 white cartridge paper. There is a small round eye shape top centre, from which the outline of two separate birds can be seen. Created by painting onto thin rope which was then placed between two sheets of paper & slowly pulled out; additional touches were then added by hand based on the image that appeared. Title is a play on the chorus of the song 'Kick' by Adam & The Ants! Talksy '26

A couple of A4 sketchbook acrylic doodles from this week...
#TalksyArt #Painting #Abstract #Sketchbook #ArtSky

Abstract acrylic painting in orange, blues, red, pink, green & white, on white A4 sketchbook page. Created by painting onto glass and then pressing onto the paper. Talksy '26Abstract acrylic painting, predominantly in sky blue & pink, with darker blue circular shapes, some white, and smaller circular red dots, all connected by the same coloured wobbly lines, with an irregular thin black line border. Kind of! Talksy '26

Not sure where I'm going with the larger work in progress but I like the ghostly/ectoplasmic/vortex vibe of this detail...
#TalksyArt #Abstract #Expressionism #Painting

Detail from an abstract painting in acrylic on MDF board in shades of green with some blues. There are hints of distorted figures within the melee of shapes in the green to the right; the left has a sweeping circular pattern, achieved by dragging a sponge across the wet paint, which gives the vortex effect (imho!)
