Does #syslog_ng support the latest #OpenSearch version?
I suspected that the answer was yes, but I gave it a try anyway. And as expected, starting to use OpenSearch 3.9 with syslog-ng is a smooth experience.

My Turris Omnia #Linux #router is 10 years old. It not just works fine, but still receives regular software updates. Today's update also installs the latest #syslog_ng:
• Updated package syslog-ng from version 4.11.0-r1 to version 4.12.0-r1
Two years ago, I created a #syslog_ng repo for #AmazonLinux 2023. As I received zero feedback, I left it alone until last week. The repo is now updated to the latest version of syslog-ng: 4.12.
The September #syslog_ng #newsletter is now available on-line:
- New #performance #tuning possibilities in syslog-ng
- Nightly syslog-ng #containers based on #AlmaLinux
- The status of #OpenSSL 4.0 support in syslog-ng
- #Learning syslog-ng

According to #Fedora Copr stats, my #Amazon #Linux 2023 repo for syslog-ng has tons of downloads. However, I did not receive any feedback, so I did not update it for two years. Finally I got a request, so #syslog_ng is now updated to version 4.12.0.
