We had a great turnout for our AGM this evening! After a review of the year, Kate Bradbury talked about gardening for wildlife with lots of suggestions for enhancing our Swift-friendly Town. Thank you to #Lewes Mayor Adrian Ross for coming and sharing his support for #Swifts.

Heybridge Swifts 6 Frenford 1

Standing by the tunnel pre-match, I could hear the ref talking to the players. He led them out a couple of minutes early as someone had farted and it stunk 😂.

Superb performance from #Swifts against league leaders

Thank you again to everyone who gave a donation to East Sussex WRAS during our Nature Recovery season at #Lewes Climate Hub in May. We raised £350!
They have now reached the funding needed to replace their vital X-ray equipment - more help for rescued #Swifts and other wildlife!

70 new swift boxes are up across Chesterfield 🏘️🪺

With UK swift numbers down 66%, safe nest sites are vital. These 3D-printed next boxes offer returning swifts (and bats) safe shelter.

Three smiling people pose in front of a red brick house with a ladder leaning against it.

On the left, a man in a straw hat and a yellow t-shirt reading "One of the wild ones" smiles at the camera. In the middle, a man wearing sunglasses and a reddish-brown jacket stands on the ladder, looking down and smiling. On the right, a woman in a light blue t-shirt and glasses smiles while holding a wooden bird box labeled "Peak Boxes" with the man on the ladder.

The ladder leans against the two-story brick house, reaching up to the roofline where a matching wooden bird box is already installed under the eaves.A low-angle, full shot shows a man standing high up on a metal ladder leaning against a brick house. He is mounting a wooden box under the eaves of the roof. He looks toward the camera with a smile, giving a thumbs-up gesture. He wears a rust-colored long-sleeve shirt, grey pants, safety goggles on his forehead, and a tool belt with a yellow-and-black power drill hanging from his waist. The sky behind him is partly cloudy. An outdoor, eye-level shot shows three people smiling as they stand behind the open double doors of a white van, which is loaded with stacks of small white cardboard boxes and light-brown wooden structures.

On the left, a mature man with gray hair and a beard, wearing a blue and white plaid shirt and tan shorts, stands with his hands at his sides.

In the center, a woman in a black long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans stands with one hand open toward the cargo.

On the right, a man wearing a straw hat, a light blue t-shirt, and gray shorts holds up a white cardboard box from a local brand called "Peak Boxes," which features a logo of a bird in flight. An upward-angled, close-up shot shows two beige, plastic swift nesting boxes mounted directly under the eaves of a red brick house. A white gutter runs along the top of the frame, with a downpipe visible on the right. The sky above is filled with white and grey clouds.

Surprised to see a few #swifts still in the sky above Biarritz yesterday. Thought they would have departed south by early August?

One of the great events for me in #Scotland, although it's never in the news, is watching the #swifts fly high in the #EastKilbride sky, like mini spitfires. When I first see them I know #summer has arrived, & think of their amazing migration from #Africa.
