About 90% done! My flare-up is still on, but I'm loving the process here so much. Drawing the hibiscus feels like breathing a fairytale into motion. My imprecision of skill doesn't matter, only the exhilaration in my commitment to the subject

The same sketch as in the post quoted, of a pink double-flowered hibiscus in full bloom, but more finished now, filled in with more hibiscus foliage in an almost variegated sort of dark green with yellow undertones and purplish veins and margins. The smaller, younger foliage are more single-toned, so to speak, a warm green. The stems and petioles are also purplish dark.
