Fair to say this has been on my watchlist for decades.
Quacking choice! #SundayCinema

Lucio Fulci's The New York Ripper 1982.
Is this our first Fulci guys?
Can't be surely.
Anyhoo horror giallo, sleaze.
Join us. 93 minutes is the uncut version.
An interesting watch @princeymovies.bsky.social can see why you and @fuddymunster.bsky.social love it.
Are sequels good?
An interesting watch. Too much action and fight scenes for me. There was a good story there but barely saw it till the end. Some likeable characters but if this is your genre I can tell why it's so highly rated.
I'm same with Terrifier films. Just waiting for the set pieces to finish
I didn't quite engage with this one. Whether it was seeing the squad reduced to a few very quickly or what, I never felt the sense of claustrophobic tension I was expecting. Plenty of kills mind.
See you all for the next #SundayCinema
I meant to say @vickyblue21.bsky.social NEXT WEEK 4 realz 4 realz
Watch out for her announcer tomorrow!
Enjoyed revisiting that one, was I completely serious about it being a horror? Only partly. It still has the desired, overloading effect of making me suck air through my teeth in a wince.
Nice one @princeymovies.bsky.social, @vickyblue21.bsky.social for REAL HORROR (?)
Nearing the end, I... I think I'd recommend The Raid 2 if you like this. Though be warned, it feels much more like a John Wick sequel than the tight, constrained thing this is. Goes WAY overboard.
With HAMMERS.
Well, it's over . . .

so all those deaths for nothing.
another baddie will just replace him.
I liken this one to Halloween a lot in that compared to some of the stuff that comes later in the subgenre it spawned, it's quite subdued, but still has the power to make me wince. Every hard landing on the concrete. Every sharp implement going in a body. Just fucking OUCH
Thank the gods he's dead!!!

Anyone else getting Malcolm McDowell vibes from that cop. It's the hair.
Think we're about to get the film's centrepiece, SOME CONCRETE
Ok an audible gasp there. Was obvious but still surprised me.
I hope he gets beat into high heaven.
You know what's about to happen when you watch a martial arts movie of any kind and they do a big sweeping establishing shot of a lab or a cool mansion or a posh hotel lobby or whatever.
THAT SHIT IS GETTING WRECKED
Worth adding, along with director Gareth Evans and Iko Uwais, between the three of them, they choreographed all the fight scenes together to pretty great effect.
So, here we are then, the little guy's about to do something.
I like whenever Yayan Ruhian turns up in an action film, benevolent or downright evil, he's got a real presence.
Played a RIGHT nasty piece of shit with a bow in this year's The Furious. Again with Joe!
I'm last few years I kind of tunes out in action scenes.
The exception was Blazing Magnum.
