remember when i said that sumire is merely waiting patiently for estinien........

i do think a part of her does not think he would wish to be with her, because she cannot give up being the wol.... but she is waiting for him to say that to her.

The insinuation was obvious. He raised a brow.

“What would you wish to know?”

“Tell me about them. Your family. Tell me about your mother, your father, your brother,” Sumire said. “And in return, I will tell you whatever you wish to hear. Tales of my family perhaps, or of my adventures.”

He snorted.

“And if I am too tired to?” he asked.

“Then tell me when next you wake,” she replied, earnestly.

“You ask much of an ill man,” he teased.

Her hand reached out to his, and she interlaced her fingers with his own. “I will wait for you to be ready, for as long as you need,” Sumire murmured to Estinien, though he swore in that moment it felt more like a promise than aught else. Her eyes shone in the dim light at him, and they blazed with something he could not recognize. But those words stuck with him, they would for many moons.

Speechless, Estinien merely stared into Sumire’s eyes in shock, and she smiled.
