A close-up smartphone photograph of a Greek Strawberry Tree trunk and branches in a leafy garden setting. The bark is peeling back in curling, papery strips of dark cinnamon and reddish-brown, revealing a smooth, matte inner layer of pale pistachio green and warm orange underneath. Soft, diffused natural daylight filters through the dark green canopy above, highlighting the smooth texture of the fresh wood against the shadowed foliage in the background.
The fruit from the strawberry tree are round like a ball and covered with very small spikes that are watermelon red with slight dashes of white at the base of the point. The underlying skin of the fruit is a yellow-orange, which makes it very colorful when contrasted with the red. The white on the spikes looks like sugar crystals. The leaves are a rather typical-shaped leaf (slightly long, smooth curve on each side and a point at the end of the leaf), medium green in color.
