Due to the season and my getting a collection Elysian pumpkin beers, tonight’s beer is not a stout, although it’s dark as one. Tonight is Elysian PunKuccino, a coffee pumpkin ale. 6% abv A pumpkin ale with a shot of cold brew coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Nice autumnal flavor.

Aged in oak bourbon barrels. 11% abv

Okay barrel aged stout, but not top of my list. Color slightly lighter than I’m used to. No standout flavor. Blended notes of coffee, molasses/caramelization, dark fruit.

Strong coffee notes. Smooth, no strong alcohol notes. Very nice.
