#Queen frontman #FreddieMercury was born in #StoneTown, #ZanzibarCity, #Tanzania, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1946. Of #Zoroastrian #Parsi origin, he grew up both there in East Africa and in #India, only settling in England in 1964 as his family fled the violent #ZanzibarRevolution.
