@laughingacademy.bsky.socialIn this particular case I think I noticed her name during a rewatch of #StarTrekIITheWrathOfKhan some time after #TwinPeaks aired and checked IMDb to see if it was *that* Catherine Coulson.
FYI writer/director Nicholas Meyer appears in the documentary βI Know Catherine, the Log Ladyβ

@millerfilm.bsky.socialHoly FUCK! They actually WENT THERE. π π¬
@millerfilm.bsky.socialExcept for...(cough)...the torpedo tube perfectly landing on The Genesis Planet and...(cough)...The Genesis Planet... π
@millerfilm.bsky.social@millerfilm.bsky.socialLike the original proposed subtitle for "Spaceballs 2":
@millerfilm.bsky.social"Star Trek III: The Search for Spock," the only "Trek" film I ever got to see in 70mm and Six-Track Dolby Stereo. Yes, I had to go to Honolulu to see it that way, but still... π
@millerfilm.bsky.socialHow wild! Now THAT is some trivia! Well done.
@millerfilm.bsky.socialWait...what? Pauline Kael gave a movie a good review? π
@millerfilm.bsky.socialNo, not at all! Jerry Goldsmith just happens to be my favorite film composer of all time. He would have torn it up on this one! But, this is James Horner's best film score and he does a great job. I played the heck out of this album throughout 1982 to be sure!
@millerfilm.bsky.socialGreat having you and everyone here for "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." π
So many great posts and movie fellowship!
@wmweibel.bsky.socialThat's a really interesting example.

@trendtags.bsky.social@millerfilm.bsky.socialEasily one of my favorite "Trek" films. And thankfully, it ended the Original Series cast movies on a high note.
@celluloidsoul.bsky.socialAnd I broke down in the theatre watching the new movie series too because I somehow saw what was coming before my friends and totally lost my $#%&! I felt like a kid getting her heart broken again! #StarTrekIITheWrathOfKhan #TCMParty
@laughingacademy.bsky.socialSpecifically the battle in the Mutara Nebula, when Kirk exploits Khan's tendency to only think in two dimensions by letting the Reliant pass "overhead" and then "surfacing" to fire at her from behind

@millerfilm.bsky.socialThe nebula being the substitute for being in the ocean with no visuals from submarine to submarine.
@wmweibel.bsky.socialYou may be right. He always left a lasting impression.
