urianger (she/her; an elezen with brown skin, gray hair, and golden eyes) and lawrence (he/they/she; an elezen with pale skin, black hair, and blue eyes) sit together in their home. they rest on a couch with their daughter, lyrae (their son, sirius, is sleeping in another room). lawrence holds a toy deer to his daughter's vision. the both of them smile sadly, knowing that the warrior of light will have to what they must...

lawrence and urianger, once again, rest on their couch; but this time, their children, along with urianger, have aged. lyrae and sirius are now 8 years old. lawrence remains the same, coming home during a small moment of rest on the fourth shard.

lyrae and sirius sit on the couch as well... though there is a noticeable gap between them and their father. lyrae sits on the couch, her hands folded politely and a smile on her face. though, despite her happiness, she still clings by her mother's side due to the unfamiliarity with her father.

sirius sits on the floor instead, his knees to his chest. he looks off to the side in slight disapproval. he knows he should be happy at his father's return, but all he feels is abandonment.

lawrence tries their best to smile at their children. urianger gives him an apologetic gaze.

once again, lawrence comes home to the source, resting on the same couch. once again, time has passed. lyrae and sirius are now adults. lawrence remains the same, hunched over and hiding their face in their hands. his children wear sympathetic gazes, this time by their father's side as they comfort him.

urianger is nowhere to be found.
