"I saw you, yknow...you were pretty good just now. Just be careful please. Magic will consume you if you let it."
"I...thanks, hon. I know, I'll try not to be as reckless, especially with Flarrin spells."

The difficult part is removing the staff's core, not inserting a new one.

When depowered, magic staves have their head closed until they have a suitable core placed near them. The fuller the core, the stronger the spells.

# Chapter 2
Panel 1: Shade sits down on the grass, irritated. "So Twyn. What's the plan? We're stranded in the tundra and my armor's growing cold. I know Scarlett's coming and won't be able to fight well."

Panel 2: Twyn stands at attention and talks, "Well, Your Honor, as a Void Draekon, do you not have the ability to change your magic breath at will?"
"...yes? Not entirely sure how that helps me here, we're in a forest, flame breath won't be sefe to use on myself."
"If we could simply...find materials, we could superheat your gear, and your sister is weak to the cold, yes?"

Panel 3: Twyn activates his thermal vision as Shade replies, "Ideally, it won't come to executing her. But I will keep it in mind, thank you."

Panel 4: Spotting something hot in the woods, Twyn is excited, "Ah ha! I knew it. Those traitors forgot to take it with them."

Panel 5: Tryson's hook is still covered in ice spikes, "A metal hook powered by an Auradine core."

Panel 6: Twyn contemplates, "Makes me wonder...what's his problem with the Star? This is overkill, even for a bandit, this is designed for torture."

Panel 2: Crystal points her spear at Nova, noticing the twitching.

Panel 3: Crystal helps her stand up.

Panel 4: Nova frowns as she crosses her arms behind her back. "Fearless in the face of unsurmountable odds..maybe you are worthy."
"What are you getting at, Oracle." Crystal demands, annoyed.

Panel 5: Crystal narrows her eyes in irritation as Nova explains, "I merely seek to aid you with an omen, it will guide your path, Young Queen."
"Get to the point, Divin. I know your games, what's the catch here?"

Panel 6: "It will guide you, but make no mistake. You're going to need a miracle."
Crystal calms down slightly but responds, still irritated, "That's what I thought. Where do your sisters' allegiances lie? Are you with us or her?"

# Chapter 22
Panel 1: Crystal holds a meeting, her armor repaired offscreen. "We are fighting a war in whicg we are hopelessly outclassed. But we cannot afford to give up. Not this time. What do we know about our enemy?"
"That thing is a god whose name was erased from history by the Primordials themselves. Or so I've heard."
"Close enough, Cypress." Sapphron confirms, "She was the Harbinger of Rebirth at one point, but she has since abandoned her title after her crimes."

Panel 2: Crystal summons an Aura projection of a crown unlike her own, "Harbinger...that would explain the energy signatures of her crown."

Panel 3: Crystal slams her fists on the table and summons another projection, shouting, "And that rune that makes her untouchable."

Panel 4: Crystal pouts as Cypress tells her, "Calm down, Your Honor. We'll win this. We have to."
"I'm sorry. But what plan do we have?"

Panel 5: Hearing something in the distance, Crystal cocks her head in confusion.

Panel 6: A smoking crater in the grass, Crystal asks "Huh? What was- hold for now."
