The post on FB read: "I have spent my entire life having it hammered into me that I have to be the strong one, the supportive one, the one that holds everything together. Sometimes it was pressure others put on me, or pressure I put onto myself, or necessity.
But I think it's important that we don't make 'so strong I don't need ANYONE' part of our identity. Because it's okay to NOT be the strong one. Sometimes you just can't be and that's okay. You're allowed to lean on others and ask for help and let yourself be taken care of too.
