1/2 This autumnal-looking #sphagnum was found at Bleaklow by a member of our team.
Some sphagnum species change colour through the seasons, with more reds, browns, and oranges in autumn and winter and more greens in spring and summer, but some species stay the same colour all year round.
Fantastic workshop today in Skipton to celebrate the end of our YPIP Sphagnum Pioneer Project! We shared knowledge and experiences around growing #Sphagnum, volunteering and peatland restoration.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a great day!
