Had a great time presenting my dissertation work with @liinapy.bsky.social at last week’s #SNL2026! 🧠
All three preprints are now out—here’s a quick breakdown of what we found 👇

It’s conference season, and trust Sabina to make the best of it! She presented her meta-analysis on the diagnostic accuracy of multidomain aphasia batteries at #SNL2026🇨🇭 and #AcademyofAphasia2026🇧🇪 . Keep researching, Sabina! 👏
What a great time at #SNL2026! Such an inspiring conference with so many fantastic researchers. Hope to come again next year! ☀️😄
Last week, the NCCR Evolving Language co-hosted #SNL2026 in Geneva. Part of the local organization committee, our researchers arranged a great program. This conference was preceded by satellite events at the Campus Biotech, and co-organized by NCCR members as well!
Academy of Aphasia managed to arrange what is effectively an excellent four-way debate on "Is there a cortical network specialized for "high-level" language?"
@snlmtg.bsky.social #SNL2026 you've got to up your debate game! (well done, Effy Ntemou)
Wrapping up a great #SNL2026 in the city of Saussure and Rousseau. Enjoyed so much fun science and so many interesting conversations. Thanks, Geneva!
And we're off to the acknowledgements. #SNL2026 is a wrap! Great conference, learned a load and I'm going home with a packed brain!
The last day of #SNL2026 featured Roy Hamilton on noninvasive neuromodulation approaches and the symposium on the dorsal stream’s role in reading. More postes & slides presentations officially marked this year’s record number of scientific contributions to our Society: we’re extremely grateful!
Last symposium of #SNL2026 on the role of the dorsal stream in reading. Let's go!
Steve Small and Peter Hagoort @snlmtg.bsky.social #SNL2026
And the final day of #SNL2026 is off! Roy Hamilton will talk about neuromodulation for stimulating conversations.
this will be of interest to those at #SNL2026
One of the best ways to find new people to follow is exploring a relevant hashtag. For folks interested in the #neuroscienceoflanguage definitely check out #SNL2026
Day 3 of #SNL2026: a panel pushing the evolutionary perspective, Yanchao Bi weaving language, vision & memory in the brain, the award session (2026.neurolang.org/awards-sessi...), and of course two terrific posters & slides sessions 🎉 And a fitness challenge, let's not forget the fitness challenge!
#snl2026 peeps - missing you all and want to let you know that my grandbaby Apollo was born at 5:15 PST on September 30. Baby boy and daughter are happy and well ❤️❤️ Keep posting!
🧠 Presenting an experimental results of our project tonight at #SNL2026 in Geneva! Feel free to pass by the poster D87 or to read our preprint. Let’s talk about decoding and prediction - both temporal and linguistic.

🧠🗣️ #SNL2026 Day 2 kickoff!
NCCR Evolving Language panel with Yannick Becker, Richard Hahnloser, Sonja Katz & Paul Middlebrooks 🎙️
💬 How did its neural architecture evolve? What can animal models teach us? How do culture & social complexity shape language? 🌍🧠
Thank you for the rich discussions
For the #SNL2026 afternoon session we have Yanchao Bi on the interaction of weaving vision and language investigating humans and macaques
