Yesterday, I have tested a new medium sized #hotPlate (for #SMD #soldering). The control response is quite good. The set temperature is reached reliably and without any overshoot. After placing a medium-sized heat sink on it and later removing it, the resulting temperature drop was acceptable.

@twoowls73 A huge problem for me in the switch to #SMD #electronics beyond my shaky hands, was #floorLoss. And even if you do find your #passives, can you easily tell what they are, eg value?
