What does an elevator graph’s slope tell us?

If it rises 3 floors each second:

y = 3x

The slope 3 is the unit rate: 3 floors per second. The camera moves vertically with the elevator, but the proportional graph is y = 3x. A truly vertical graph line has undefined slope.
