There are interviews in it but I've no interest the behind the scenes fare as this series is a perpetual tyre fire. I don't need to know their supposed plans as it's all a mess.

I must check out the Silders websites on The Way Back Machine to see if any got preserved.

The comics try very different lore. However it's all pretty unimaginative, eg the energy creatures in the Slide tunnel is just bad lore. Yet the TV Series has stolen several idea from these comics but will surely ignore the comics lesser ideas. It's a strange relationship.

A supposed "lost" TV ep where the Aztecs weren't conquered so now dominate or whatever.
The problem with some of these comics is they have the baddies trying to steal the Slider technology. That is not at all what Sliders should be about.

Finally a really strong ep that isn't badly let down by the script. Chase Masterson ( #STDS9) and Neil Roberts ( #Charmed) guest.
I like how it predicts Amazon employment policy and is kind of prophetic. Plus is has decent B and C plots!

The only great thing about Sliders is the main cast. Yet I know 3 of the 4 will be replaced by generics quite soon and boy that pending B-team is not gonna have a prayer of landing this series.

Though a stolen story it was nice to see the show have a go at actual sci-fi.

Good money on screen it looks so good.

Robert Englund guests and is far better than Roger Lloyd-Pack as a cyber creator with a disability. Yet I got a more a Monarch vibe from Dr Aldhon as opposed to John Lumic.

Hightlights were very strong Quinn/Remi & Arturo/Wade chats.

Tracy Torme has done it again by stealing yet another story from the Sliders comics. Here Comic#5 "Darkest Hour #1: Fissions of the Soul" (Oct-96) is lifted. Tracy Torme might as well be RTD stealing stories off the #DoctorWho wider canon!

Pure trash.

To make this worse the Sliders actually return home but must leave again to resolved the arc. Sounds good but no, it's a waste of the returning home idea as the arc is mere gibberish.

"Ethical backbone"... fu*k off Sliders.

They are doubling down with Wade being an IT expert even though she hadn't a single IT skill in the first 2 series. So lazy.

"They took Quinn's head and put in on Phil's body": Cue graphic showing the precise opposite. Can anyone on this show actually do their F-ing job?

Ed Wasser the baddie in #Babylon5 at the time getting one line as a guard reminds me how low B5 was in the acting talent pool.

Feels like a rehashed S1 ep. Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs even plays himself.

All the LA v SF gags fall flat especially as Sliders is an LA show anyway.

And Perrey Reeves guests. I know her from my #Chucky, #GhostWhisperer and #Medium walkthroughs. Mid-1990's Perrey is quite something. Yet again I thought Perrey Reeves was Amelia Rose-Blaire ( #Scream) who is like 17 years younger than Perrey.

This is a hold over as this was the third ep of S3 made so we are clearly back in LA summer, here Hollywood. The location shoot looks great in the height of summer. There are 100s of tourists. Many clearly watching "Sliders" being filmed.

S3 is 25 eps but the writers barely have the ability to do 5 good eps a season. This ep is about Rembrandt's life and about pregnancy so the Yanks regurtitating their Britshit royalty fantasies once again is fully unnecessary.

Here we go again. Wouldn't be US TV without the US writers cocksucking the Brit royal family. So we get another Britshit Monarchy ep. At least this tries to be original by allowing the royals to be black, even if nobody else around them is.

S3 has big money behind it. The move to LA from Vancouver has really upscaled the show. Eg: the fire scenes this ep were far bigger budget that you'd expect in such a TV series.
But as ever the writing can't match so all eps dissolve to nothing as its centre can't hold.

JHC "Sliders" is so f-ing dumb I feel sorry for the tremendous lead cast.
Has quite a decent set up of an oil world even if that translates to a 1950's world yet again. Least they got the TV sets right this time.

But the sentient flame..JHC.

Did Sliders do parallel worlds better than modern sci-fi? 🌀 Ian and Marx revisit the classic series, debate where it lost its way, and ask: should it return?

The problem with Sliders is that there is no depth to which it won't stoop. When you think it has sold its soul it'll go even lower again. And here we get a magic ep to jump on the mid 1990s witches/magic bandwagon.

This series is so alienating.

The thing about Sliders is that it is completely unrewarding to dig into the regulars.
Eg:
Wade knew nothing about tech in S1/S2 is suddenly an IT geek as she worked in the computer store in ep #1.01,
Arturo's brother dying of drugs is up there with his fuc*en military past.
