Many thanks to everyone at #HUSTEF2026 for making it a great conference! Organizers, volunteers, speakers, participants - I see you. As usual, I took #sketchnotes of the talks I attended, feel free to check them out: mastodon.social/@lisihocke/1... 1/3

I uploaded "My best thing today" in #sketchnotes for September 2026:

After four years of daily sketches, these now filled the last page of my #sketchbook.¹

Please boost!

I’m publishing these […]

Rough, small sketches in ink with the best experience for almost every day in the timeframe. The base is lineart in black and gray, often colored with sky blue, grass green, sun orange, or earth yellow as highlight-colors. On the side there is a streak of colors where I clean the pens after they take up black ink. ... Please take care of yourself. You are worthy of experiencing joy.

This will be my last #sketchnotes for #Akademy2026. A really fun talk from Nuno and Filip about Oxygen past, present, and future. I can't give justice to the craziness shown on screen at the end of the talk. Be sure to watch the video!

#Sketchnotes fresh off the press! Qt folks presented StyleKit at #Akademy2026. It brings neat styling abilities across QtWidgets and QtQuick Controls.

#Sketchnotes from the session "What has been brewing in KDE PIM land?" at #Akademy2026. Glad to see my @enioka colleagues Arnaud and Dominique do an excellent job summarising the neat improvements coming.

First #Akademy2026 talks of the day all wrapped in a single session: the KDE Goals reports. Here are my #sketchnotes, covering what have been said about "KDE Needs You", "Caring for input support", and "Streamlining the application development experience".

And now the #sketchnotes of the great talk about the desktop UX by Scott Jenson. Very inspiring and I'm glad we could have him at #Akademy2026.

Another #Akademy2026 talk I could fully attend, another #sketchnotes. This time Joseph has been talking about the lessons learned with the End of 10 campaign in the "Conquering the world together" session.

Trying to get back into #sketchnotes this year. Starting with the "joining KDE" panel at #Akademy2026. I'm clearly rusty but hopefully it's still fine and will provide insights to people.

My sketchnoting workshop at the beginning of the conference made me feel relieved and so happy. People were genuinely curious and excited. But even more important lots of them tried to apply sketchnoting techniques during the next day's talks ✏️ 🫶
More #sketchnotes in the thread
