Finding quiet moments in the garden surrounded by the beautiful colours that autumn brings with the sky reminding me that the blue always makes its way through all the grey, so just keep on going. Hope you can find moments to just be if you need them too.🍁

Good morning everyone, or near enough considering it's Saturday. Six pics of what's still flowering in my garden albeit with less enthusiasm as time goes on. Have a great weekend and remember to see alt-text for details 🌱

Most of the back garden will be in shade until March, but we do have coneflowers, cosmos grown from seed, a wild geranium from a visit to a #Lanhydrock @nationaltrust.org.uk and rudbeckia flowering cheerily despite the lack of sun.

doingtheplan.com/2026/10/10/s...

Collage of images of a Somerset garden on 10 October.

Blog extract: It is that time of year when it takes till about 11 o’clock for the sun to hit the solar panel for the garden pond pump to start bubbling. Most of the back garden will be mostly in shade until March. But we do have some lovely pink coneflowers, lovingly grown from the teensiest plug plants that came by post. There’s also some cosmos, grown from seed, which usually have a few insects around them and are a lovely bright splash of colour. We picked up this purpleish wild geranium from a visit to a lovely national trust garden called Lanhydrock and it’s a wonderful souvenir of a very pleasant holiday. The rudbeckia put in to fill a few gaps are flowering cheerily despite the lack of sun. And the horsey head statue in the horsey border is surrounded by autumnal colour and looking pretty fine.

🌱 #sixonSaturday from my tiny garden. The first picture shows a view of my tiny garden from an upstairs window. It is one of my happy places. The seasons are changing and we have had some welcome rain.

A collage of six pictures from my tiny garden this week. Clockwise the first large picture is a view of the garden from an upstairs window. There is a paved patio with a table, parasol, table and chairs and a lot of pots. Beyond is a small lawn, flower beds, a small glasshouse and a lot of trees and shrubs. The small pictures on the top are tiny Arbutus flowers and the purple flowers of Tulbaghia. The large picture at the bottom is an orange Dahlia followed by small green Arbutus fruits and a Chicory flower.
