#OnThisDay in 2023 we took a boat trip to #Sirmione. We were last there in 1973. It’s little changed but much more crowded than I remember. Scaligeri Castle and lovely views everywhere. The church of S. Maria Maggiore had 14th c frescoes & a #Roman milepost at the foot of the campanile.
