Pitted #fossil bone frags are common on #Suffolk UK beaches with #Pliocene Red Crag debris. Phosphorite nodules from the basal Crag are similarly pitted. Hypothesis: bioerosion by #siboglinid worms munching phosphate-rich substrates.
