@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe Man Yuan Temple is a great source of history in Bailu Village when it comes to what the villagers have written on the emas, that talk about the desires, dreams, goals, wishes, and future they wish to have, and how to get there.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialRyo losing to Yanlang wasn't the problem, nor was that the issue with the story in Shenmue 3 because that was just the cost of the limited budget, coupled with the restrictions of the Kickstarter, and just the poor execution of the whole thing.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialShiling's backstory thats revealed in her character bio on the Japanese website of Shenmue 3 is so interesting to think about, because it shows how a lot of content was cut from Shenmue 3 and it affected so much of the game.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialReclaiming The Path is Shenmue 3 but how it was always meant to be experienced as if it was allowed to happen back on the Dreamcast. That final stretch with Ryo fighting Lan Di in the Old Castle at Niaowu was pure perfection.

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialShenmue 2 was released 25 years ago today on Sept. 6, 2001 and took the Shenmue series to new heights! The story expanded to new heights, the world was much larger and more expansive, Ryo's journey was much more louder and chaotic.
