Up to interpretation if this is a serious collection of myths shark or a Xena style mythical shenanigans shark.

Sharktember Day 29: Travelogue
This little lemon shark is a seasoned traveler and they're going to guide us to all the best sights and eats in Paris.
Sharktember: 27 & 28: Samurai & How-To
I had so much fun looking up traditional Japanese fabric motifs to make the little border around the Samurai.
How-To Shark is an ode to ~ for Dummies books. It's also the cutest goblin shark I've ever drawn
Sharktember 25 & 26: Apocalyptic & True Crime
The Apocalyptic shark turned out more vibrant than I initially planned but I kinda love it, even if it's less true to the genre.
True Crime as the faded polaroid is something I am particularly pleased with
Sharktember 23 & 24: Historical Fiction and Noir
Whatever story the Roccoco sharks come from sign me up I am reading IMMEDIATELY.
Noir shark you just know has an intense inner monologue that we're interrupting
Sharktember 21 & 22: Zombie & Fairytale
Inspiration pulled from The Walking Dead games and Rackham's silhouette fairytale art
Sharktember 20: Steampunk
A little traveler shark with her clockwork bird in the era of dirigibles.
Sharktember 18 & 19: Romantasy and Tragedy
I am particularly proud of the frilled shark member of the court of the fae, I want you all to know that. His wings are big and bold and probably shimmer in the sunlight.
Sharktember 16 & 17: Alphabet Book & Ghost Story
I'm having so much fun pulling from genres that aren't literary and figuring out how to sharkify them.
Sharktember 14 & 15: Magical Girl & Sports Anime
Two of my favorite genres made shark!
I wasn't intending to paint these 2 back to back but once I did the magical girl I immediately started getting an idea for her counterpart. They make a cute accidental set
Sharktember 12 & 13: Cookbook and Western
The whale shark cook is SO pleased to teach you 100 different ways to cook salmon and the hammerhead rides its horse through the stoic beauty of nature.
Sharktember Day 11: History shark
I do love how many history books have Famous Paintings for the cover, and used it as an excuse to repaint a masterpiece as Shark with a Pearl Earring.
Day 9 & 10 of Sharktember: Fitness & Gothic Horror
Two VERY different genres here, but both of these made me cackle with delight.
Day 08 of Sharktember:
Chapter book shark! Your slice of life young reader fiction genre aka Ramona Quimby but in shark form
Day 7 of Sharktember: Superhero shark
I am actually kind of surprised in all my years of sharks I have never painted a superhero shark before. The swimming/flying visual overlap ALONE should have been an excuse
Day 6 of Sharktember: Fantasy shark
This one was SO much fun to design. I am not a high fantasy girlie but damn if I didn't used to love the lush illustrated covers you'd see in the 90s
Day 5 of #Sharktember: Beach read!
This one was tricky for me because the simple, lineless vector art in bright poppy colors that I associate with these books is the exact opposite from soft line-heavy pastel watercolors. Hopefully I still caught the vibes right!
Day 4 of Sharktember:
A classic science fiction shark. Sharks in space!
Sharktember Day 2: Autobiography shark!
You can tell it's biography by the very serious pose
