@ctmillion.bsky.socialOne of the best cinematic experiences I’ve had was dragging myself to a morning showing of #SevenBridesForSevenBrothers at the 2023 #TCMFF, where Russ Tamblyn reminisced with Dave Karger about doing acrobatics off of picnic tables. Both the film and Rusty looked fabulous at the Chinese Theatre. #TCM
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialThe people who were running flat out for ther lives are suddeny walking slow and proper. That should be a huge clue for the pursuers.
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialIts battery and kidnap.
Lucky for us it is the 1950s or we'd see where the original story got its name.
@kayla622.bsky.socialI like to think that, offscreen, during the "Goin' Courtin'" scene, Milly taught all the brothers their moves for the barn raising dance. #SevenBridesforSevenBrothers #TCMParty #classicfilm

@66betty.bsky.socialThose Pontipee boys are better dressed than any of the town boys. #TCMParty #SevenBridesForSevenBrothers
@66betty.bsky.socialI love that dance so very very much. #SevenBridesForSevenBrothers #TCMParty
@kayla622.bsky.socialI love #SevenBridesforSevenBrothers and as a native Oregonian, I love that it takes place in the Oregon wilderness; but these matte painting backdrops look nothing like Oregon. I don't care though, because the barn raising dance is perfection. #TCMParty #classicfilm
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialWilling suspension of disbelief, just to get the story started. More like arrest and incarceration of disbelief, but ok.
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialParson, I believe I've seen you somewhere before... or maybe its 10 years from now...
@caldesertsun.bsky.social😧Its hard to say where to start... but the dancing is great. Actually the music didn't impress me much
