people keep adopting Sou or trying to, but she generally has no idea it's happening because to her a mother and a father are things that exist to try to hold her down and to destroy her if they cannot do that. And these people seem nice #setanosou

I think it has prepared her really well for later Azeming. The Scions have their first reckoning with "these people have done or benefitted from unconscionable wrongs, but they still deserve to live, to choose" in eulmore (soft) then garlemald (hard). For Sou it was Doma via Yotsuyu. #setanosou

i do think it was a bigger revelation for Sou than in canon that doma was an omelas (*sou perspective) though. As a former omelas child herself (i.e. style of skapegoat abuse where the child is told their endurance of it is load bearing) I think it hardened something in her permanently. #setanosou

i am genuinely not ruling out the concept of maxima, hien (yes hien), meteor, sou seta, and their 6 echobearing companions forming a conspiracy to keep yotsuyu somewhere safe and **away from doma** until a cure for tempering can be found. somewhere well out of the empire's reach. #setanosou
