This is Senior Bun 38 and 39, catching up from missing yesterday. My wife came in while I was posting this and told me how much I've improved on these. She's right, but what blows me away is how good @suprdee2.com is at drawing him. His just have that special something

Senior Bun 37 doesn't feel quite right. I've had people online tell me to try a heavier stabilization setting on my pen, so I went for 50. But that makes the lines feel too easy.

Senior Bun 36 is me trying to play more with pen size and stabilization.....curves are still hard lol

For Senior Bun 35, I wanted to try for a wider brush and I like the results. Might try to keep it at 35 point for the next few sketches. Also, totally forward-facing Senior Bun, very rare, very expensive.

I'm back home and we're back to digital sketches. Senior Bun 34 is back and here to encourage everyone in this year's Inktober

Ok, I lied. Senior Bun 33 is the last of my vacation. A very rare bun this time, we get a look at Senior Bun's back.....it's pretty similar to the front.

[Now with actual picture]
Senior Bun 32, the last one on my vacation.
I gotta tell you, I still can't figure out these ears. @suprdee2.com any advice on that perfect Senior Bun ear shape? Mine always feel too straight, or too fat at the ends, or too skinny at the base

Senior Bun 31! More than a month in and.....wow, these lines are wobbly tonight!
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Buns show a story. Senior Bun 29 was, according to my wife, a sign I was improving. So Senior Bun 30 was done freehand, no sketched layer underneath it. She said "it shows confidence." I'm happy either way.

Senior Bun 28 is a day late, but is dressed for the season
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 27 comes to us from Oregon. He's so well traveled!
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 26 is still very shaky. I need more time with this pen.
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

A first for this series, we've got a pair of hares. Senior Buns 24 & 25 are both more ink pen sketches on my trip. This is reminding me of how hard it is to get a good line on the first try.

Today was the first day of my 9-day vacation, so the handful of drawings are going to be ink and paper. Senior Bun 23 comes a day kate, but the first drawing with my new pen and my new sketchbook. Pen is going to take sone adjustment.
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 22 was drawn with the felt pen and I really liked it. Do I like it because it's wide and helps hide mistakes? Maybe.
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 21 is coming us today thanks to the Milli pen. Why do different pens default to different sensitivities? This was tough to get good lines on
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 20 was done with the calligraphy pen, and done in a single layer because it's almost my bedtime. Wish I'd redone the back side.
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 19 is a result of the turnip pen setting....whatever that is
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 18 is back to more traditional line art. My good friend @peebeejeebees.bsky.social told me about pen sensitivity and wow does it help draw curves.
#Rosebuds #SeniorBun

Senior Bun 17 was supposed to be more of an oval shape, but I'm really happy with how perfectly round he accidentally came out.
