@radiosega.netWe love @ocremix.org, but it's soon time again for our #SEGAMixerDrive remix showcase show going OCR-Free - link us a fav #SEGA remix outside of the OCReMix space & freqrexy.bsky.social will play it on her show LiVE this Sunday (11th Oct) @ 8pm UK/9pm CEST/3pm ET/12pm PT!
(still love ya, OCR! 😜)
@radiosega.netThanks for tuning into tonight's #SEGAMixerDrive!
The arrows pointed at it being a regular show with extra steps, but next week won't be that. There's no OC Remix artist rep on OCR Free Week, so all eyes are on outside influences.
Request away towards me ( @ freqrexy.bsky.social )! :-)
@radiosega.netThe #SourceRoulette stuck the landing on Streets of Rage 3, something last approached five years ago and the community output is still the same. Thoughts on the OST?
#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netAnd to seal it, @dinnick3rd.bsky.social (and Galeborne) has kept going with Sonic, this time with going with the ever popular City Escape:

#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netGoing further up, B-Side Jams has a steady selection of metal covers on YouTube (with full performance focus), and the Yaldabaoth boss theme from Persona 5 had also recently joined the set:

#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netSecond up, we gotta love @littlevmills.bsky.social on this channel - especially when taking the cabaret track "As You Like" from Yakuza 0 and framing it as "metal head sweeps in for romance". Never stop being yourself!

@radiosega.netREMIX HIGHLIGHTS: There's a lot of new material to check out from this week and previous ones!
First up, DSC went towards Sonic guitar for the first time in a bit, taking the swag-filled "Fog Funk" from Sonic Frontiers and adding a rock flair to it:

#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netThe #CommunitySpotlight was cast on niwana, a YouTube arranger who only needed FL Studio Mobile to get some 90s-era-sounding arrangements done. Check out more work over here:

@radiosega.netQUESTION: What is the most comforting Sega game to play in a barely lit room?
#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netWe're barely in October and the `ween spirit is already in. If you're not grasping something comforting, do so now, just in case...!
#SEGAMixerDrive

@radiosega.netThanks for tuning into tonight's #SEGAMixerDrive!
The theme? All arrangers were from Latin America! That's mostly Brazilians, but there were other South / Central American reps too.
Next week is the third of the catchup episodes. I'm @freqrexy.bsky.social - and make it a great week!
@radiosega.netThe #SourceRoulette stuck the landing on a multi-music block for Sonic 2. Yep, Sonic 2 - what else is there that hasn't already been said? And who's surprisingly yet to discover this?
#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netAnd @ferdk.bsky.social also revisited an old cover - this time being Sonic 3's Ice Cap. The power of doing metal covers of all of these Sonic songs can do something to go back down memory lane, right?

@radiosega.netREMIX HIGHLIGHTS: Got two tracks here that fit this week's mystery theme! What can it be?
@dinnick3rd.bsky.social went back to His World from Sonic 06 for a complete overhaul, with only the drums being the fresh outliers of these 8-year-old stems:

@radiosega.netQUESTION: In addition to Shenmue, what Sega game would've benefitted the most from interactions with vending machines, and how?
#SEGAMixerDrive
@radiosega.netIt seems that the Mystery Mix sleuthing this week is under the hands of the drink. We here at RadioSEGA encourage everyone engaging with the community to do just one simple thing above all other communal activity:
*Stay hydrated.*
