Seaside Sparrow is a typical sparrow sized bird with generally brown stripes, mostly brown cap, a buff wash on its upper chest and sides of the neck and a yellow splash in front of the eye but this one has a small dirty white splash. He is sitting in some greenery with seeds and flowers

This is a Robin sized bird with an all white belly and orange hood on. It has a black back and the tips of the wings are white. The usual Red-headed Woodpecker has a red hood replacing the orange one. This is likely a failure in a single enzyme in the conversion of the orange like pigment to red. Taken in North MS in 2008 and I must admit I mis explained it to myself until I looked at it today. Dum which has a b in it ie dumb ;-)
