I learned the term Epstein class from @georgeaye.bsky.social’s keynote #SDinGov
Weeknotes 7 for #SDinGov is up. Featuring a jigsaw, a DWP duck cartel (unconfirmed), Essex and Ealing on resident participation, security handing me a seat at the table, and an AI accountability question I can't shake. medium.com/@meanius/wee...
Home safely from an enjoyable few days at #SDinGov 🏴
There’ll be no blog post from me this year; I simply have nothing left in the tank!
You’re probably all sick of my voice anyway 😂 If you want to hear about HFU, our awesome team are writing about it: mhclgdigital.blog.gov.uk/category/hom...
We had a fantastic Day 2 at #SDinGov
@laurayarrow.bsky.social delivered our opening keynote for the day. We had plenty of great sessions and workshops, a delicious lunch, and wrapped up the day with some food and @georgeaye.bsky.social's 'Angry Hour'.
One more day to go; see you soon!
Wise words of @gazaston.com “prototypes should be thrown away or archived once the question has been answered”.
Listened to @dxw.com Ming’s highly informative talk on prototyping in public services in the age of AI #SDinGov
Day one of #SDinGov 2026 was a blast 🎉
We kicked off the day with a keynote from George Aye and finished it with a cocktail and a ceilidh! Thank you so much to all our speakers who shared with us yesterday, and good luck to today's speakers!
We'll see you very soon for day 2 👋
Really thought-provoking morning / lunchtime #SDinGov including social contracts, trauma-informed user research, understanding different perspectives and designing for delegated authority.
Now for homes for Ukraine with @cocochan.bsky.social
Thank you @georgeaye.bsky.social for a brilliantly inspiring keynote #SDinGov
Immediately added two books to my reading list and “who writes the social contract” to my thinking list
@georgeaye.bsky.social opening #sdingov is exactly what I needed this morning 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
"The cost of speaking up is high. The cost of not speaking up is higher."
Hope everyone has fun at #sdingov over the next few days in Edinburgh - and 'break a leg' to all the speakers! You'll do great - always a lovely supportive audience!
Ah well, the timings didn’t work out in the end so I won’t make it to #sdingov pre-drinks in the end but at least I’ll still be able to hang out with a friend! Decided to stay over anyway to save myself an early start tomorrow.
On my way to Edinburgh for #SDinGov
Journey not nearly as epic as @martinjordan.com’s, am currently on train 2 (of 3) after short walk and bus ride.
Somehow “change at Stafford” doesn’t sound quite as exciting as “change at Cologne”, though.
