scielune + blankets

Lune, Sciel found out when going to check on her, had fallen asleep with her notes open and a frown drawn all over her face. Glancing at what was written, because given how those notes recounted the expedition’s journey every member was more than welcome to take a look and offer their own additions, there was nothing surprising; just words and words in Lune’s neat style, nothing amiss to the point she must have stopped when feeling exhaustion taking over instead of carrying on before it fully invaded her. No one was better for that task than her, and Sciel had never doubted. But she also would be lying if she dared to say she wouldn’t want her to stop a tad sooner so she could properly lay down instead of simply leaning over the tree trunk as Lune currently was. “Alright, time for bed.” She whispered, motioning to scoop Lune up in her arms without waking her up and carrying her close to the bonfire where all sleeping bags had been set up long ago. “Is she okay?” Sciel heard Maelle ask, to which she first replied with a nod.“Just sleeping like a baby.” She confirmed, kneeling to place Lune in her usual chosen spot and tucking her under a blanket. Nights weren’t especially cold these days, but also not hot enough a single cover would be too much. Besides, Sciel wanted to do that anyway. Once all was done, she leaned in to press a brief kiss to Lune’s forehead, and got back up since the next watch was supposed to be hers.

(a very tl:dr of this au is that Lune ran into Sciel on the docks just in time before she could do anything impulsive, so nothing bad happened that night.. will let you fill in the blanks :3
