Sarracenia ‘Saxapahaw’ x leucophylla, HC A.
Most plants out of this cross have grown up to display this spectacular hot pink appearance. While this one gave no divisions this year, some of its siblings may soon appear in the Shop!

Various sarracenia on the deck; some I raised from seed—Love the variety that can come from seed-growing—

A spectacular chunky thing that clearly is going to be a monster (as it’s still just in a 3 inch pot), Sarracenia “Mega Mouth” x “Drew McClain.” Barely branched, thick rhizome and pitcher mouths 2 inches across already.

One of the Sarracenia that just got a repot, but not divided (big leaves but slow to branch): ‘Hot Lips’ x (‘Mesa Exotics’ x “Super Heavy Veins”).
Will I keep it long-term? Yet to tell, need more siblings to mature.

Plant child acquired. It's kind of enjoyable fussing and caring for another living thing in my household. Feeling like a parent insisting on a coat as I place this photosynthesising child in full bright sunlight. Apparently I need to treat it like a tomato plant. So here I go.

That one with color had something interesting in the growth. A stolon? I've only seen #Sarracenia plants grow from a crown. Turns out someone else noticed one on Sarracenia purpurea var. montana, which the source has. Bet it ends up that.

The crown of a bare root pitcher plant seedling. About an inch above the crown, another crown is coming out of a short stem.

My sarracenia had a rough start this spring due to a cold spell following on the heels of a warm spell but they rallied. The one on the left put out the biggest pitcher yet (this is their third year here).
