The prompt for day 11 is ”magic” so I decided to go for some old stage magic flare.. Herrmann had so many cool fits it was hard to choose a fave!

For the prompt ”traffic sign” I wanted to look for vintage motorist clothing and BOY I found my favourite piece yet. Behold: ladies all leather car underwear!! Why is this not a lesbian staple!?

Getting it down to the wire BUT I got it done in time. Today’s prompt made me think of protesting and making noise and I wanted to draw some more of Finnish fashion history. Very happy with this combo :D
First week of #Drawtober is done and the second one dawns so it is time for a new thread. I continue my project of doing fashion history research & using @sarjakuvaseura.bsky.social #sarjakuu prompts as inspiration. Today’s was a challenging but then I found this charmer from the 20s (approximately)
The prompt for Day 7 of #sarjakuu was ”abstract” and so I knew I just had to draw a gorgeous patterned fabric about it.
Day 6 was ”tear” (as in rip) and so I ended up choosing to draw inspiration from Finnish history. Fun fact, the picture I based this on is one Järnefelt took because he used it as a reference for a painting, which is extremely famous here.
Day 5 prompt was ”star”
so I feel like my interpretation is very logical⭐️ I have decided to keep all drawings based on b&w images b&w for historical accuracy

The prompt for day 4 of #sarjakuu was salakavala or ”sneaky”. Took me a while to figure out what to draw but I figured a masked outfit can be considered sneaky. Reposting because I had the wrong reference information the first time :,,D
Day 3 prompt was ”hiccups” and obviously that meant I had to draw this 1920s party girl with the most gorgeous sleeves ever. #sarjakuu #drawtober
Day 2 of drawtober and today’s #sarjakuu prompt was ”väärä vipu” = ”wrong lever” so for my historical costumes theme I was inspired to research old mechanic outfits
