🇮🇹 The #Sanremo2027 rulebook is out, and there’s a big change for #Eurovision fans!

🎤 The new Performance night will decide Italy’s representative for #ESC2027, while the rulebook also reveals changes to voting and the rules for competing songs

Reading some more about these rules:

-seems like Stefano is really bullish on having 24 artists compete. But...you never know
-online voting...public voting is gonna crash out so hard (especially if the likes of Geolier and Anna compete in #Sanremo2027)
-thank god though AI is not allowed.

But now...Night4/Eurovision Night of #Sanremo2027 ...oh god

-INTERNATIONAL JURY....🙃🙃🙃 WHAT ARE WE DOING RAI
-really interesting that the winner of this night isn't 100% locked into Eurovision and artists can still say no to #Eurovision (though they still have to perform on this night)

Quickly on Cover's Night: seems like a continuation of what Carlo Conti did with it on Sanremo 2025 and 2026 and treat it is a standalone night once again for #Sanremo2027

Let's start with how the overall #Sanremo2027 winner gets decided...

-a 67/33 split between the juries and the public on Nights 1 and 2 is interesting...
-looks like we are not resetting the votes for the superfinal
-but only letting the public vote in the superfinal....that is an AWFUL decision.

In lighter things...THE #Sanremo2027 RULES......and just looking at these before I go into each chunk...Stefano De Martino and RAI have cooked up absolute madness with these rules... 🧵

🇮🇹 #Sanremo2027 will have televote every night. The combined rankings from nights 1, 2 and the final will send 3 to 5 acts to a televote-only superfinal, which decides the festival's winner. Votes don't reset.

AI can't be used in writing, composing or producing the songs.

🇮🇹 Rai has published the regulations for #Sanremo2027, with new details on the "Performance" night to select Italy's #Eurovision representative.
