@blueskiesecho.bsky.socialBeen a long, hot day, but now we’re back at our digs, showered, feet up, and streaming this beauty by Fennesz & Sakamoto. Sometimes, all you need is the sound of a piano drifting beneath a blanket of static to completely unwind.

@blueskiesecho.bsky.socialDavid Sylvian – Secrets of the Beehive (1987)
A masterpiece of quiet intensity. Secrets of the Beehive finds David Sylvian stripping everything back. Ryuichi Sakamoto providing orchestral arrangements and piano.
@blueskiesecho.bsky.socialA beautifully intimate collection that captures Sakamoto’s genius in its purest form. Just piano, space and emotion every note feels deliberate, fragile & deeply human.💚

@blueskiesecho.bsky.socialRyuichi Sakamoto 'async' (2017)
A haunting, beautifully restrained album where piano & electronic sounds drift between serenity & unease. async feels like music contemplating mortality without ever becoming too heavy handed. Sounds even better through decent cans.
