@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.socialFor the #SagAftraMembers who are wondering about what's happening in Canada:
@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.social@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.social@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.socialIs there going to be an arrow pointing to or going through a synthetic's head if a human performer and a synthetic appear side by side and the audience can't tell the difference between them? #SagAftraMembers
Will the human performers wear badges?
@sagaftra.orgCA Governor Newsom signed SB 1050 into law, a bill that requires advertisers to provide a clear disclaimer when an advertisement uses a synthetic rather than a human performer. Thank you, Gov. Newsom & @senatorashby.bsky.social, for championing #SagAftraMembers and fighting for AI guardrails.
@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.social#ACTRAToronto President Kate Ziegler would end up buried under a mountain of tossed shoes if she spoke like that in front of a crowd of #SagAftraMembers who have been missing out on employment opportunities in the US because of all the American tv & film productions that have been shooting in Canada
@hollyweirdnorth.bsky.socialWhat's so 'Happy' about it?
#LaborDay is just another day out of work for all the SOL #SagAftraMembers who've been missing out on employment opportunities in the U.S. as a result of so many American tv shows and American films leaving the US and shooting in Canada.
@sagaftra.org#LaborDay is a holiday created by the labor movement. Today, we celebrate the workers whose solidarity continues to move us forward. To our #SagAftraMembers, union siblings & allies: thank you for standing together for stronger workplaces, fair treatment and workers’ rights. 💪
