ryu is max vanilla male au ra height (7'0") so i think this is fairly common? his older brother and father are tall while his oldest brother and mother are short... ryu's not in love with his height but it's not keeping him up at night. i.e. he still wears heels. he grew up in limsa hes ok

ryu is doomed to immortality and his husband doesn't actually have that much time left as-is... it'd go pretty poorly at first but ryu still has reasons to keep going so he does. but he's going to be utterly miserable for a very long time

ryu tends to eat a lot of hearty simple cooking because its what he's used to! lots of bread and a lot of eggs or meals that use them (he keeps chickens) ! hanami eats mostly fish and kelp but she also doesn't know how to cook genuinely and expects to be fed

yes kind of. i think ryu has a difficult time defining his ideals and needs somebody to build his life around - he can't just do things for himself, its always for others (or what he tells himself is for others). sometimes it ends up being something like this too lol

ryu looks the most like his ancient, ananke! lapis (9th shard) looks the most like ryu, then it starts to break down from there. rather than looking similar, ananke's shards all have similar temperaments, destinies, and manipulation of fate and/or time

ryu has been fundamentally the same over the years, with small changes facilitated by his story!
he has more scales on his body, larger horns, incandescent eyes, a longer tail, and the scales on his back are blue in the "wing zone" - magical
hair shorter, other physical changes by choice

ryu will answer truthfully and say that he doesn't know! hanami will call you rude for asking, but if you assume she's in her early 40s she'll be pretty happy and wont confirm or deny anything else

lrp related but the worst thing that happened to ryu was when he was really young and was so traumatizing for him it was the only thing in his life on shore he forgot. then he remembered it 🫠 i dont want to get into the details but it does involve the death of a child
