I’d be remiss if I didn’t also post this… #RussBallard #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

What makes Russ Ballard's songwriting remarkable is the range... From Three Dog Night & Rainbow to Santana, America, Hot Chocolate & KISS... Millions know his songs, even if they don't know the man who wrote them. That's still one heck of a legacy. #RussBallard #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

Slidin’ further down into the Russ Ballard rabbit hole reveals that Russ Ballard also wrote “I Know There's Something Going On,” which earned US #OneHitWonder honors for another ABBA vocalist… #RussBallard #Frida #ABBA #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

KISS didn’t earn US #OneHitWonder honors… but Ace Frehley did! The Space Ace earned solo US #OneHitWonder honors with his version of the Russ Ballard-penned “New York Groove.” The only #Top40 single from the four solo albums KISS released in 1978. #AceFrehley #RussBallard #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

In 1969, Russ Ballard & Bob Henrit joined Rod Argent & bassist Jim Rodford to form the British rock group Argent… and earned their place in US #OneHitWonder history in 1972 with “Hold Your Head Up.” #RussBallard #BobHenrit #RodArgent #JimRodford #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

In 1965, 2 musicians from the Roulettes, Adam Faith’s backing band, joined Unit 4+2 as studio musicians on “Concrete And Clay.” By 1967, they were full members of the group… Those 2 musicians? Russ Ballard & drummer Bob Henrit. #RussBallard #BobHenrit #OneHitWondered

As a guitarist for the Roulettes, Russ Ballard first sort-of earned US #OneHitWonder honors in 1965 when “It’s Alright” by Adam Faith with The Roulettes spent two weeks on the US #Billboard #Top40, peaking at #31 #RussBallard #AdamFaith #TheRoulettes #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
