#riversoflondon autumn, day 5: fog
maybe taking a midnight stroll wasn't very smart, Thomas
#inktober #drawtober

Thomas Nightingale, seen from the back, as he he takes a stroll during a foggy night. His left hand rests on a cane, while his right is lifted to make a werelight, which hovers right above his upturned palm. There are three silhouettes in the fog, two barely visible and one that is behind Nightingale, reaching out for him. Black ink on paper.

#riversoflondon Autumn, day 4: haunted house - Abigail and the Shadow Lady

In the foregrounds stands the ghost of a woman, a book in her right hand (cause I didn't know what else to do with it), while her left hand is raised in a gesture as if she is conjuring a werelight. Instead of a werelight hovering above her palm, we see Abigail peeking around a corner at this scene. Black ink on paper.

#riversoflondon autumn, day 3: light -
"Nightingale held out his right hand palm upwards and made a fist. 'Watch my hand,' he said and opened his fingers. Suddenly, floating a few centimetres above his palm was a ball of light. Bright, but not so bright that I couldn't stare right at it."
RoL,ch.3

An illustration of Peter's first magic lesson. In the foreground is Nightingale's hand, raised and with palm upwards; above it floats a werelight. In the background stands Peter. He looks at the werelight in wonder. Black ink on paper.

#riversoflondon autumn, day 1: horned - aka a very friendly unicorn you definitely shouldn't worry about as it rapidly approaches!
