Brutalist Tower Exploded in Color
#RisographPrint #BrutalistArchitecture #ArchitecturalIllustration #AIArt

# Alt Text An architectural blueprint-style isometric illustration titled "Exploded Horizontal Cross-Section: Brutalist Tower Block, 1968 — Vertical Community Dissection," drawn at 1:100 scale on aged cream paper. The diagram depicts a symmetrical multi-story residential tower split vertically down its central concrete core, revealing eight labeled floor levels simultaneously. The illustration uses a warm coral/salmon and dark teal two-tone color palette with fine halftone texturing, evoking vintage technical drafting aesthetics. Each floor is labeled and depicted with miniature human figures and furnishings: - **L1 (Ground): Lobby** — figures near entrance, potted plants, tables - **L3: Residential** — living room furniture, bookshelves, dining area - **L5: Domestic Scene** — kitchen with residents, sofas, television - **L7: Communal Area** — dining tables, residents socializing, plants - **Floor 9: Balconies** — laundry hanging across open-air terraces - **L11: Small Apartment** — bedroom, reading figure, minimal furnishings - **Floor 14: Community** — bicycles, children's toys, recreational items The central elevator shaft and stairwell run the full height of the structure, connecting all levels. Floor labels appear on both left and right margins with measurement indicators. A scale bar runs along the bottom. The overall composition captures the sociological layers of working-class vertical urban living in late 1960s Brutalist housing architecture.

Just reissued one of my favorite oldschool riso prints in a new 2 color variant. Really love the yellow and black combo for this. I often like warm tones skies where they don't make logical sense per se, but something just hits right.
