#K.Praslowicz cover of #SilentHill 's #WhiteClaudia is a cover that really amps up the rock undertones that are in Silent Hill music but typically lay dormant for the creepy and sad motives. Even with the rock elements it still gives off that aura of the dark and mysterious.

#AStrayChild from #SilentHill3 by #AKIRAYAMAOKA starts with a dark atmospheric ambient piece that reminds me of really harsh cold wind, then picks up into something more. What I love about Silent Hill music is that for as sad and scary as it it, it still insists on a sick drum beat.

#SilentHill2 's #ThemeOfLaura by #AKIRAYAMAOKA is defiantly top 3 of the the songs in that game. Heavy drums accompanied by sorrowful electric guitars and violins, its a thing of beauty. It gives off a sense of edgy and hard but with a very soft vulnerable hint.

#Zero by #TheSmashingPumpkins has such a good guitar riff intro. It's one of those songs where the lyrics could be anything, I'm listening for the feel of the music. The sliding scratching and solos of the guitar are all the lyrics I need.

When I first got into #SmashingPumpkins it was November of 2006. The leaves where gold and littered the outside of the library on campus of college where I'd be working on finals. #Lily reminds me so much of that time. A nice little sweet song about stalking. 🍂

#Slipknot 's #VermilionPt.2 is such a great contrast of a song to the rest of their discography. All the rage filled screams and lyrics can not move me as much as this solemn venerable words of someone who's hurting and trying to cope with a pain inside of them.

Nothing more frightening than a 2000's teenagers burned CD. #Slipknot 's #IAmHated was one of those songs that sounded so mean and evil to my young teen ears, but its actually got a really good headbanging beat. Very relatable I was very hated back then, I HATED myself so much.

All hail the most evil sounding instrument, the pipe organ! #FinalFantasy9 's #Pandemonium theme is a mix of melancholy and grandeur, like finding the place of your birth and finding that its not at all what you wanted. It's so hauntingly beautiful.
#RGMM #Musicsky

#Heresy from #FinalFantasy8 is a surprisingly sinister spooky song. The midi organ that plays with elegancy and grandeur, and that bass that comes in really gives off that dread inducing feeling. It's so relentless.

That feeling when a song gives you goosebumps with the intensity is what I felt when I heard #FingerScene from the movie #Raw. What starts as sweet and curious guitar strumming turns so horrifically hair raising when something gruesome happens. Oddly beautiful.

I love the dark and spooky vibe of some synth music. #Raydar 's #TrickRTreat has a great layer of synthy beats, chorus vocalizations and a nice dance feel. A great Halloweenie vibe to start October off with.

There's something about the lyrics "Please stop laughing, mourn the parents honey" in #RayBull 's #PleaseStopLaughing that I feel so hard in my soul. The great souring instrumentation during it makes it feel so much more impactful. The lyrics are so good in this one.

You watch a movie like #TeenageSexAndDeathAtCampMiasma and see a scene where a trans character takes out their revenge on a group of camp counselors in the most over the top blood geyser ways you love the song playing under it all, yes you do. #CountingCrows #ALongDecember

The more you discover about 2000's Emo, the more you realize you only ever scratched the surface. #TheUsed 's #ICaughtFire is a song I would have been playing on repeat back in 2005 if I had known about it. The emo wailings and trilling guitar riffs are magical.

#Kavinsky 's #NightCall sets a dark and moody atmosphere that feels like a futuristic dystopia. Then it hits you with these angelic vocals like rays of light, it's awesomely faux 80's.
#RGMM #Musicsky #Sept2026

#ThePrettyReckless 's #MakeMeWannaDie does exactly what I want from a alt rock song, a nice gentle low spot that speaks of real emotions and then a big rocking buildup that explodes! Before Poppy or Baby Metal we had songs like this, and it was exquisite.
#RGMM #Musicsky #Sept2026

#SallyShepiro 's #AnorakChristmas is almost too twee and sweet. A nice dancey-pop beat with the most sweetest voice singing about feelings of love. It's almost like it's the perfect song to play before something very monstrous and bloody happens.......huh....
#RGMM #Musicsky #Sept2026

#CarpenterBrut is one of those bands that always finds it's way into my fall playlists. Something about that modern/retro throwback to 80's synth just make me think pumpkin spice and wet leaves on the ground. #Misfits/TheRebels rocks hard and puts you on a journey.
#RGMM #Musicsky #Sept2026

#EverythingButTheGirl 's #Missing is one of those songs that I feel everybody imagines a woman slow-motion dancing with silk scarfs in their minds. You put this song on in the club now as-is ,no remix or cover, and I guarantee the 40 year olds will lose thier minds.

#TheFameRiot are some of the prettiest men I think I've ever seen. Long hair, skinny jeans and dance pop with flashing pink and blue lights are basically #HeartStray. It's a sound that I'm only now realizing was basically only in 2010 till the end of the world in 2020.
