There aren't many good restaurants open in #Trondheim on a Sunday, so #restaurangutangen and daughter ended up at Robata Asian Fusion, which was no more than OK, but with some highlights. The salmon tartare wonton tacos were delicious, the salmon nigiri was excellent (the tuna and scallop less so)

#restaurangutangen and daughter had early dinner at Cinnamon in #Levanger. It was pretty good, Methi Malai Chicken was (as announced) mild and creamy, with large juicy chicken pieces, and Lamb Vindaloo was convincingly spicy with tender braised lamb chunks. The naan was a bit disappointing, though,

advantages a tiny restaurant has, the guests see everything and everyone gets the same food at the same time, the service is lovely and fuelled by sincere enthusiasm. It was pretty much a perfect evening out. You should all go – #restaurangutangen would love to go again but probably won't make it!

duck and chicken bone stock, with spices that the chef claimed were Mexican-inspired, certainly there was some cinnamon. The duck breast was excellent, but somehow the pear was even better? (And #restaurangutangen doesn't even like pears all that much.) 7. Ostensibly very simple dessert

#restaurangutangen was very sorry to hear that Varemottaket in #Oslo is shutting down in December and so obviously she had to go one more time. And it was magnificent! #restaurangutangen loves the informal no-frills style, nothing on your plate is ever there in vain, and oh, the sauces!
