today i had something to say
what i #renounced sharing yesterday
sounds strange but it's true
adapting to time away allows for the new

when sleep is deprived
we're not awake wide eyed or aware
rest helped to clear cluttered air

I never meant to disappoint you
The day you #renounced the devil
I saw evil in your head
You shut that door with an anger
I felt the hurt bleed

Now I feel the butterflies in flight
Daises and buttercups proud in their life

Happy the day that sings
Beauty I now see in everything

how can we plan for our golden years
when basic fundamental needs
have been #renounced

healthcare rising
food costs skyrocketing
housing unaffordable
just to name a few

it's not up to hard working citizens
it's totally up to them
& they know who they are

I have a list, long list
things that matter not
no more
things #renounced
most forgotten, ignored
some battle against that
enlisting people around
to bombard me with them
calm is scattered
solitude preferred

After the funeral, I chuck the dead flowers and climb the attic stairs. Here lies my #renounced childhood, covered in dust. I hug teddy bears, spin hula hoops, braid dolls' hair, win all the marbles, until I hear Ma call, "Dinner time!" I descend, ten again, my family alive. One last meal. #vss365

This morning, I’ve found the majority of my #vss365 posts to be substandard or in poor taste.

I therefore #renounced and deleted them.
