This evening the RBSA Prize Exhibition opens and one of my bigger paintings of 2026 (and climatically appropriate!), 'Punishment of the Sun' is there. Crewe lies somewhere between Manc and Brum, but I visit Birmingham far more and love the art and vibe of the city.

A 100-mile trip to Birmingham today, to the RBSA to drop off 'Punishment of the Sun' for their Prize Exhibition 2026. My 13th trip there to exhibit - but my first in 12 years since the Prize Exhibition of 2014! The exhibition runs 1 to 31 October.
