A better look at my pfp. I’m a sucker for dragons, altruistic characters, the color green, and my wife is a firefighter so the #Salamanders were a natural fit. So, expect to see a lot of green going forward.

That said, my wife loved crows, so I may dip into the #RavenGuard as well.

Added a lone Raven Guard Gunslinger to my Sharks, a small tribute to their origins as the old Terran 19th. Struggled a bit with the camo cloak, but happily I don't collect Imperial Guard so I don't have to do it on the regular.

I was gone for a work trip for six days, so I only have a small set of changes to show.

What I got painted yesterday are the leather details on Shaan, as well as some improvements of the torso armor. Giving the black armor better volumetric reflections has been overdue.

A 'before' and 'after' comparison of last weeks and todays work in progress state of the Aethon Shaan miniature I'm currently painting for Golden Demon as part of a 40k Unit entry. It is displaying the changes I made on the armor and newly added leather details. He's painting true to lore, with black and white armor parts, red fabric, steel insignia, and minor details.Work in progress photo of the Aethon Shaan miniature I'm currently painting for Golden Demon as part of a 40k Unit entry. Little changes.
Slow changes.

I don't think I have the time to continue refining this carefully and slowly. My personal deadline, due to the travels to the events, is October 15th. Oof.

We got claws on Aethon Shaan!

I decided to paint the right one as idle and inactive and the left hand claw as powered hup while slicing into the rock.

Looking good I reckon 😇

Last week I finished refining the first part of the 40k Unit entry!

This is about the best painting I can do at the minute. It's only a bit worrying how long it took me to get the jump-pack this far. There is SO much more to get to this level. Yikes!
