"I Have Been Good? (For Our Lady Peace and "In Repair")" — The Psychedelic Snarl, №309 ... This painting right here is very, VERY important to me. It represents a culmination of a great many feelings. Incredibly sad happenings around the time of its creation had me surfing my trips grasping for precious threads that could carry me to warm places. I ended up having a doozy of a transcendental experience centred around the children of my birth year. Funny how you spend roughly the first 18 years of your life with people your own age. I can't tell ya the last time I met one now tho... The most incredible thing about this experience was just how constantly Our Lady Peace featured as soundtrack from the mid-90's forward. These cats have been there that whole time like some absolutely wonderful magic. There's that warmth, then! The stellar album Spiritual Machines in particular stands right out. I'm in love with the whole thing, but "In Repair" is just a bloody masterpiece. For "I Have Been Good?" I drew heavily upon synaesthesia, my absolute love for the music, and my then current well of feelings (beautiful and otherwise). "In Repair" was on loop the entire time. This is the painting of which I am most proud. To Raine Maida and company, thanks so very much for the magic warmth over the years. I love you. May the Cosmic Wind bless you. My new book, Nanaimo Bar Blues, is available now! Hit me up or head down to Comic Alley Toys or Worlds Collide in Oshawa to get your copy. The original book, The Drop, is also available at these locations, as well as Deja Vu Discs (Oshawa). ... Zero AI. We take an heroic dose, usually fungal, and see where it takes us. • Rev. Our Lady Peace’s Happiness is a darker, more introspective listen, balancing atmospheric rock with #RaineMaida’s distinctive vocals. Not every track hits equally, but there’s plenty of emotion and ambition here. #NowListening #OurLadyPeace #Happiness
