On Saturday, June 19, 1982, Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) C30-7 8150 and SD45-2 5635 led an eastbound (southbound) in the Tehachapis at Woodford, CA. ATSF 8150 was a C30-7. Reportedly it was built in 1989 as ATSF 7449 B40-8 serial number 45950, the last engine of the 7410 class. In 1995 it was wrecked at Tejon, NM and was repaired. Southern Pacific (SP) 7467 led an eastbound into Cable, CA, meeting a westbound ATSF intermodal train, in the Tehachapi Mountains on Sunday, February 23, 1992. SP 7467 was an EMD SD45 (SD45R) SP Class EF636R-2. Reportedly: it was built by in 1967 as SP 8913, SP Class EF636-2, builder number 32827. It was upgraded in 1983 becoming SP 7467. SP 7467 was retired in 1999. It was rebuilt to an SD40M-2, becoming CEFX 3120. This is at the Tri-City Society of Model Engineers (TCSME) model railroad club in the historic Niles depot in Fremont, CA. My C-415 models are both English (Bowser) models. The 4445 is my son's BLI model. The real SP 2400 was an ALCo C-415, SP Class AS415-1. Reportedly: it was built in 1966 builder's number 3458-1.
