@radium26.bsky.social📚 Almost nearing the finish line with this one…

@radium26.bsky.social📚🪐 When it comes to shooting, definitely Conrad 🥇 (though Eddy’s not too shabby with a gun either). He saves her life a couple of times but Eddy gets the shot in when it really matters in ‘Gangs of the Radium Age.’
@radium26.bsky.social📚 Already made some changes to this scene as I’m working on the piece. The good news is the end is in sight and that this next ‘tale’ will easily be my longest yet. Stay tuned!
@radium26.bsky.social📚 Eddy and the new girl are on the case…

@radium26.bsky.social📚🪐 Jewellery is frowned upon in the city for stuffy ideological reasons. So Eddy doesn’t wear any & even if she could I’m not sure she would because of her upbringing. Maybe something low-key & “practical.”

@radium26.bsky.social📚📝 Well, a magpie isn’t a lizard but here’s a snippet from my next ‘tale’ all the same…
@radium26.bsky.social📚 The next ‘Tale’ is looking like it’ll be a long one. In the meantime, here’s a link to everything written for my #RadiumAge series so far…

@radium26.bsky.social📚 So this sort of thing happens in ‘Gangs’ - Conrad takes Eddy to their world’s equivalent of a Michelin star restaurant, so she’d definitely appreciate that (especially if money is no object). She’d treat herself!
@radium26.bsky.social📚 The start of the newest ‘tale’ from the #RadiumAge - another detective snippet from my #dystopian #scifi ‘city of tomorrow.’ This one’s tricky as it features a lot of prejudice (& I want to do it justice in the depiction) but I do love a challenge.
@radium26.bsky.social📚 🪐 Eddy’s the sort of person who’d *like* to have a plan but doesn’t always get the chance to put one into action. When there’s twists and turns in the case, sometimes the best she can do is improvise…
@radium26.bsky.social📚 🪐 When Eddy Smith is sent to the lawless ‘Borough Belt,’ she faces off a killer with remarkable powers & a mystery that might shake the very foundations of the City of Great Britain…

@radium26.bsky.social📚 Without giving too much away, the organisation the antagonist of ‘Gangs’ belongs to is a pretty good one on the surface: it’s dedicated to developing science and technology for the betterment of humankind…..ruthlessly.
@radium26.bsky.social📚📝 So I finally figured out what the next #shortstory will be! In the meantime, I updated the description for ‘Gangs of the Radium Age,’ my original work on #ao3 that you can read via the link below:

@radium26.bsky.socialEddy lives alone in a one room apartment in a residential block in the Metropolis. She certainly enjoys it more than her old place (a room in a shared dormitory) and she prides herself on moving up a “Social Category” & all that entails.
