🇺🇳 At #UNGA81, we convened our annual Global Network of #R2P Focal Points breakfast to reflect on the 2026 #R2Pdebate, priorities for 2027 and emerging prevention challenges. Discussions focused on #Sudan, #AI and the urgent need for stronger collective action to prevent atrocities.

🗣️🇺🇳“Where cycles of impunity endure, so too does the risk of renewed atrocities.”

At #HRC63, the Group of Friends of #R2P called for guarantees of non-recurrence to be at the heart of atrocity prevention.
